Publisher's summary

Sweet with Heat: Seaside Summers features a group of fun, flirty, and emotional friends who gather each summer at their Cape Cod cottages. They're sassy, flawed, and so easy to relate to, you'll be begging to enter their circle of friends!

Dreaming at Seaside by Addison Cole is the sweet edition of New York Times best-selling author Melissa Foster's steamy romance novel Seaside Dreams. The stories and characters remain the same, and convey all of the passion you expect between two people in love, without any explicit scenes or harsh language.

In Dreaming at Seaside....

Bella Abbascia has returned to Seaside Cottages in Wellfleet, Massachusetts, as she does every summer. Only this year, Bella has more on her mind than sunbathing and skinny-dipping with her girlfriends. She's quit her job, put her house on the market, and sworn off relationships while she builds a new life in her favorite place on earth. That is, until good-time Bella's prank takes a bad turn and a handsome police officer appears on the scene.

Single father and police officer Caden Grant left Boston with his 14-year-old son, Evan, after his partner was killed in the line of duty. He hopes to find a safer life in the small resort town of Wellfleet, and when he meets Bella during a night patrol shift, he realizes he's found the one thing he'd never allowed himself to hope for - or even realized he was missing.

After 14 years of focusing solely on his son, Caden cannot resist the intense attraction he feels toward beautiful Bella, and Bella's powerless to fight the heat of their budding romance. But starting over proves more difficult than either of them imagined, and when Evan gets mixed up with the wrong kids, Caden's loyalty is put to the test. Will he give up everything to protect his son - even Bella?

LOVE

There are absolutely no other couple like Caden and Bella.... He is a cop and she is a teacher, and prankster extraordinaire.
You could never ever put a better couple together in my opinion .
I love this Narrator Melissa Moran...she does Bella so well, you would think she actually was Bella.

I love hearing the emotions instead of reading

One of my favorite things about listening to books rather than reading them is the fact that you get the true feelings behind the words. When reading it is left to the reader to interpret the meaning behind the words, there is nothing wrong with this there is just different ways to interpret. While listening to the book you can the tone, the context, and the voice of the character so I sometimes get a different perspective on the story and what the characters true feelings are. Melissa Moran is talented at being able to take Addison Cole’s written words and bring the characters to life. Her tone, her speed, and her changes in voices make the story so real that many times I get lost in the story and end up listening to more than I really had time for.

Have you ever read a book that is part of a series and wonder what will happen to the secondary characters? That is what happened when I read Read, Write, Love. I wanted to know if the rest of the Seaside Girls would find their happy endings just like Leanna did with Kurt. Dreaming at Seaside is Bella’s story. Well, Bella and Caden’s story.

Wild, crazy, trickster Bella is swearing off relationships until she gets her life in order. Then one night of being found outside by new local police officer Caden Grant brings sparks to her life. Even swearing off relationships cannot detour the feelings that are between her and Caden. My favorite part is how Caden is just accepted into the folds of the Seaside girls. Instantly Caden is included in their plans, welcome into their lives, and expected to put up with the shenanigans these ladies led by Bella pull.

I loved how with every thought Evan, Caden’s son, is included in Bella’s world. She includes him in their date times, their quiet times, and their fun times. Not every woman would be welcome to a teenage boy coming into her life and not only does she accept Evan but she loves him and wants him in her life.

Addison Cole has written a fun, sexy, sweet, and a tad of heat story that cannot be put down. I recommend picking up your own copy asap and reading this entire series.

Dreaming at Seaside

Dreaming at Seaside is the second book in the second book in Addison Cole's Seaside Summer Book series. First off, listening to the audiobook, I liked that the narrator (who is the same narrator from the first book) did a great job of making each of the female friends have a distinctive voice and that she also kept that same distinction in this second book from the first book. I've listened to books that have not dine this when using the same narrator. So right off the bat, I appreciated what Melissa Moran was able to do with the narration.

Now, the story. I loved Bella's story. The idea of starting over and being able to live your "Dream" is an ideal situation for many people. Unfortunately, some people don't get that opportunity. I thought Addison Cole did a great job of showing how scary and difficult it can be to upend you life. But how, in the end if it truly is your dream, it's definitely worth it.

Also, I think the father / son relationship between Caden and Evan is one of the best dipictions of a parent dealing with a teenager that I've ever read (listened to). It felt very real and displayed many real-life worries that every parent faces as their child grows.

Bella and Caden together were great, but I liked that their relationship didn't influence their individuality except for the fact that they're better together than apart.

While I enjoyed the first book, I think that this second book surpassed it. i loved again seeing the female friendships and I look forward to getting the other two women's stories in upcoming books.

Wonderful, Sweet, Clean, Love Story!

This book was so much fun to read! Bella left her job to start over in Cape Cod where she spend her Summer's growing up. Cade is a police officer and single dad who saw is friend and partner get shot and killed and decided he has to move for his sons sake. This book is so delightful, I laughed so much, a charming, clean love story. I am so looking forward to the next book in the series so I can check in and see what's happening with the characters ! I also listened to the audible and hustled loved it!

A Must Listen

I really loved this book. I love single dads. I love sexy, hunky, policemen. I love the crazy ladies and men of Seaside. I love books written by Addison Cole. This book is a win-win-win-win. After teaching middle school for 30 years, I loved having Caden's son, Evan, in this book. It is rare to have a teenaged son in a romance, but he added so much emotion to the story. I have already read the first book in the series, so I am very familiar with the ladies and men from Seaside. They are very entertaining, and will bring lots of laughter to the book. The way that Caden meets Bella for the first time had me laughing so hard, and this is at the beginning. I really want to move to Seaside and join them, but since that can't happen I will be planning to read every book in this series. Then, there is the author, Addison Cole. She can really write. This book has just the right amount of sweet with heat. She had me so pulled into the story, I cried for the last 20% of the book. Some were happy and some were sad, but all were worth it. This is a must read!!

After reading it, I have now listened to the audiobook too. It is just as good. I might have loved it even more as Melissa Moran brought it to life. I recommend that you read it or listen to it, it is up to you.

Have a little Faith

I really enjoyed the initial meeting between Bella Abbascia and Caden Grant. It was definitely a meeting that will leave a lasting impression, especially with Caden. I loved this story and watching these two with dating and getting to know each other especially since Caden has a son and Caden trying to make time for Bella and his son. There were definitely ups and a few downs with these two, but as always our Seaside gang of friends is in the background to cheer for you or be there when you need support. That’s a huge part of my love of Addison Cole’s books. The ending was so good. I listened to this as an audiobook which was narrated by Melissa Moran. I have listened to quite a few books by her and she continues to do a good job. This audiobook had a lot of funny moments and some serious moments and I felt she really captured both and you could definitely feel the emotion of the moment.

Take a Chance on Love

Dreaming at Seaside: Sweet with Heat: Seaside Summer, Book 2

I received an audiobook ARC in exchange for an honest review. Melissa Moran is a new narrator to me and she did a wonderful job of bringing the story to life.

I used to vacation in Wellfleet so I love that this series is set here with the Seaside girls.

Bella Abbascia is a strong, loyal and feisty woman with a sassy sense of humor who lives for pranks. She's a high school teacher who made the mistake of dating someone from work that ended and she's looking for a major change in her life. She goes back to the place she's been spending every summer with her besties, the Seaside Girls since she was a child! She has always loved it here and decides to take this time to take a break from men and figure out what will make her happy.

Officer Caden Grant and his teenage son Evan have recently moved from Boston to Wellfleet after losing his best friend and partner. Caden is a devoted single dad who was never married to his college sweetheart, Evan's mother and between work and raising Evan, there's been little time for much else.

During an evening community patrol, Caden catches Bella and friends mid prank. The girls are clearly tipsy and yet adorable. The attraction is instant and unsettling.

As the two spend more time together, they each have their own issues to face. Evan gets involved with some "bad" kids and it causes Caden to question whether or not he's spending too much time with Bella and not enough with Evan. Is it possible to be a good dad and find love?

Bella is conflicted as well. Should she move from Connecticut and start a new career? Is there room in her life with all these changes for a real relationship that includes a teenage boy?

These are real life issues that so many people face today. Addison Cole, Melissa Foster's alter ego has created another love story that will pull you in and leave you feeling sweetly satisfied and wanting more. I look forward to listening to more of Melissa Moran's narration.

fantastic friends, family, romance, seaside

Melissa Moran gives a performance that make the rich character that Addison Cole have created take on a new life. Melissa brings back the characters that I fell inlove with in the previous book. Her vocals add an element of familiarity with the characters we already met through her. The were no issues with the clarity, sound quality, no skipping, no echoing. You could make a connection and it carried all the way to the end of the read.

Here we find ourselves back at Seaside, this time with Bella and Caden. Of course, we have the others from the Seaside gang also. We get the sweet, innocent, less provocative, yet still fulfilled romance rich characters both supporting and primary, a set-story line, and the romance journey. This was a good clean read that can be read by beginning romance readers. Seeing Caden and Bella fall in love was pure clean fun. Add a teenager, girlfriends, and the community of Seaside to it all. You get a good afternoon read/listen. You get friends, family, and more.

Seaside Connection

I loved reading this book after having read the print version when it was first released! Melissa Moran's narration gave me the opportunity to relax or work while getting wrapped up in the story again!

Bella isn't looking for love, and neither is Caden, but are they destined to find it anyway? Of course! Bella, a teacher that is ready for a change, and Caden, a cop who has already made a big change in his life, meet unexpectedly, and can't turn away from the instant connection that they feel.

Bella is a teacher, a Seaside resident during school breaks and the summer, has decided to make a change and leave her job to pursue something she is passionate about.

Caden, a cop who lost his partner at a previous post in Boston, has moved to the area to escape the risks of being a police officer in the city. He has his son's best interests at heart.

Bella and Caden want each other. Can they work through the obstacles standing in there way?

I loved reading their story and could not stop listening! I was emotionally wrapped up in this book from the beginning! I also love another dose of the Seaside girls!
