Publisher's summary

The New York Times best-selling author of Beautiful Bastard, Beautiful Stranger, and Beautiful Player starts a brand new story of friends, love, and lust with Book One of the Wild Seasons series.

One-night stands are supposed to be with someone convenient, or wickedly persuasive, or regrettable. They aren’t supposed to be with someone like him.

But after a crazy Vegas weekend celebrating her college graduation - and terrified of the future path she knows is a cop-out - Mia Holland makes the wildest decision of her life: follow Ansel Guillaume - her sweet, filthy fling - to France for the summer and just…play.

When feelings begin to develop behind the provocative roles they take on, and their temporary masquerade adventures begin to feel real, Mia will have to decide if she belongs in the life she left because it was all wrong, or in the strange new one that seems worlds away.

***Spoiler** When Mia awakens married.

Which scene was your favorite?

When Ansel attends ballet class.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

I loved the entertainment value of this book... I think its worth a buy .... save the credit for something more pricey.

So good listened back to back

I love this writing duo have read or listened to every one of their books. This one won't let you down. Fell in love with the Beautiful series. I even passed on this book thinking it couldn't get better than than that series. I was wrong. Hot French guy meets shy Cali girl and off it goes. Romantic Hot sexy and well written.

Great Narration

Where does Sweet Filthy Boy rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

I've read all (in audible form) of Christina Lauren's books so far and this one is my new favourite.

What did you like best about this story?

I loved how real the characters were in this book. Even though we had a sort of instalove relationship going on it touched on the pitfalls of a relationship of this type and why holiday romances are often doomed. The difference here is that they were prepared to get outside of their comfort zones to try and get back that something that drew them together in the first place and build from there. The more real the problem the more believable the story was for me and the more I wanted things to work out.

What about Shayna Thibodeaux’s performance did you like?

Shayna Thibodeaux made this story for me she really brought the characters to life. I can't speak French but she makes me want to learn, it was just an outstanding job and it makes the difference between a book I will listen to again and again and one I can't bare to finish.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

There were so many moments, I loved how Ansel took care of her on the plane that did it for me he is my new hero.

Any additional comments?

Loved Mia and Ansel's relationship and everything it involved. It was so tenuous at times that you wondered if it would ever take the strain. There was some great humour in this book which had me openly laughing (yes I got some strange looks with my headphones on) especially Ansels daily French lesson notes.

If you could sum up Sweet Filthy Boy in three words, what would they be?

Sparks. Fun. Love. Sex, sex, and more sex!

Who was your favorite character and why?

The best friends were fun.

What about Shayna Thibodeaux’s performance did you like?

She's always a joy to listen to.

Hot Damn

I was a little surprised at first that this book was entirely from the female perspective, but I loved the reader's voice and the French male accent she affected when the guy was talking so much that I didn't actually realize that there was no male reader for the first few scenes with them together. I finished this book over the course of two days, and the subsequent 2.5 books in the series over the next week. They are definitely steamy. Audible rates them "Hot Damn," so I would looove to hear something they rated "O-O-OMG." I highly recommend this series.

UGHHHHH my HEART 😩😍🥰

I loved this story oh my god, my heart has been stolen. It was funny, so utterly sweet, extremely hot, and kept me daydreaming of traveling throughout my listen. I want to take a several month backpacking trip through France now.

If I’m comparing, I honestly liked this story much more than the Beautiful series (although I love that series, too). If I were to liken the stories to food (bc why not), this story is like warm butterscotch or chocolate lava cake with ice cream, whereas the Beautiful stories are more like olives in your martini or a charcuterie board. Both can be delicious, but they have their time and place. I felt like this story made me want to curl up and get cozy and made me feel so good overall.

And can’t forget to mention that the narrator did a *phenomenal* job. A brilliant story can become utter shite with a shoddy narrator, and Shayna Thibodeaux performed each character with skill. The accents were decent, and the cadence, inflections and emotions were very well done.

If you’re looking for a beautiful escape, take Sweet Filthy Boy for a ride. You’ll be glad you did 😉

Probably my favorite narration EVER. French? SWOON

I actually used a credit on this book solely because I read that part of the narration is done with a french accent and I was intrigued. I was not disappointed. I don't think I've ever enjoyed a narration performance as much!!!
