Publisher's summary

When you've lived your life as a criminal....

When you've done unspeakably evil things....

When your soul has become dark and stained....

The path to redemption begins where you least expect it.

Kyle Sommerville is in hiding and doesn't want to be found by anyone. Certainly not by his quirky, free-spirited neighbor who's managed to push her way past the walls he's built around him. But Jane Cresson's indomitable will and insatiable curiosity about her reclusive neighbor makes it impossible for Kyle to stay immersed in his dark world.

Little by little, she claws through his shell. Day by day, she gets him to smile a little more. Night by night, they both find pleasure they never knew existed.

When Kyle's secretive past is exposed, Jane begins to think she's in over her head. Can her love for this broken man finally clear his path to redemption, or will Kyle's darkness finally extinguish every bit of hope she's put into him?

Please Find Kyle Because Kyle Is So Lost

Sawyer Bennett is one of my favorite authors and this book is completely different from everything else that I have listened to by this author. This book is absolutely amazing and shows versatility in the author's style of writing. I was enthralled throughout the entire book waiting to hear what movie line Jane was going to quote next and how Kyle was going to push Jane away. Their relationship started as a cute game of cat and a very unwilling mouse and very quickly the mouse became the predator. Jane set her eyes on Kyle and he didn't stand a chance of resisting her quirky way of making him notice her and getting under his skin. Jane quickly found a way to teach Kyle how to live in world very unlike the violent criminal world he had just left. Although Kyle was falling for Jane, he just had too many secrets to completely open up to her and there were many things he just couldn't share. When Jane eventually finds out the truth, she finds it difficult to deal with the new reality. I really like that both Jane and Kyle have to do some soul searching to see if they can have their happily ever after.

Kristen and Lance did an amazing job narrating this story that kept me interested and excited the entire time. The only thing that could have made it better was a duet style narration.

The book is most definitely worth a credit. I have thoroughly enjoyed everything that I've listened to by Sawyer Bennett and this book is no different.

Great spinoff character from Wicked Horse!

This is Kyle's story. The ATF agent who was introduced in the Wicked Horse series. SB did not disappoint with sexy, alpha Kyle and spirited Jane. The sex was not as steamy as the WH series but still sexy. Narration was great. Yes, worthy of my credit.

LOVED this book!!

I was not expecting such an emotional story when I started listening to this one. Kyle was fantastic - he's a little rough around the edges because of everything he's gone through but Jane is his weakness. Her sweet and quirky personality brought out the best in Kyle and I loved every second. The narration was great with great inflection and a nice flow to the story. I really enjoyed this book and highly recommend it!

Finding Kyle Guilty

I had a huge problem with the premise of this book: that undercover U.S. law enforcement agents should be allowed to commit horrific crimes against innocent American citizens in order to maintain their "covers" in criminal gangs.

So it was perfectly acceptable that Kyle (ATF agent) raped, tortured and murdered some of the American taxpayers he was sworn to protect. Sorry, but that rationalization is disturbing on so many levels; Kyle got to pay God, deciding who lived and died, justified as long as his intention was to catch the "bad guys".

Although I understand that law enforcement officials have an incredibly difficult job, there are many ways to gather information on criminal groups that don't involve federal agents committing violent crimes against civilians.

Since I could not relate to Kyle's character with his belated remorse or Jane's stupidity in hopping in bed with a virtual stranger, I did not enjoy the book, even though it was well written with some humorous parts.

I LOVED ABSOLUTELY EVERYTHING ABOUT THIS LISTEN

Sawyer Bennett tells the entertaining and compelling story of a burnt out ATF Agent, his forced lifestyle choices and the quirky woman who slowly charms her way into his life... and his heart. This talented Author has delivered a well developed storyline with interesting endearing characters with colorful personalities who'll entertain and captivate you with their actions and antics as they fall in love.

Kyle Sommerville was meant to be dead following the raid on Mayhem's Mission MC after spending 5 years deep undercover infiltrating the vicious gang who dealt in drugs and sex slavery and he slowly rose through their ranks to become one of its feared patched in members. However Kyle had to do unthinkable shocking things to get there.. which has left its mark on his soul and, not only does he think he's tainted, but he'll also never forget or forgive himself for those actions. Kyle's mission may finally be over but now he's one of the major witnesses and he needs to go into hiding until the case goes to court - so while his life's on hold - he's now become an antisocial Lighthouse Keeper in Maine. How hard can that be.. he'll do his job and mind his own business until it's all over and he can finally get back to his life.. right? Wrong.. because Kyle's sweet tempting neighbor with her quirky humor will coax, charm and brazenly ease her way into his life.. and then his heart. Kyle thinks she'll never know his real name, she'll never know his nightmares are fuelled by bloody memories and she'll never know why he's really there. But never say never Kyle.. because what you fear most is about to happen and it'll leave devastation and heartbreak in its wake.

Jane Cresson is an Art Teacher, she's well loved in her quiet community.. and lately Jane's interest has been focussed on the droolworthy sexy stranger occupying the lighthouse across from her. From the moment Jane introduces herself, she is intrigued and drawn to Kyle and she's determined to get to know him better.. and her humorous film anecdotes, delicious dinners and friendly personality slowly works its magic against her prickly closed-off neighbor. Jane's efforts eventually break down Kyle's barriers and she becomes his friend.. but a steamy stolen kiss quickly blurs the lines for a while.. and, once Kyle's rigid 'no strings' terms are met, sexy times soon follows. Contented for now but hoping for much more, Jane thought she knew the important things about Kyle.. but in the blink of an eye all that changed because Jane gets plunged into a deadly situation. A situation that leaves her dazed, bruised, angry and broken-hearted because Jane suddenly realizes she never knew Kyle at all.

Another well written, well described dual POV story of light overcoming dark, of determination overcoming resignation, of forgiveness overcoming sins and love overcoming life's bitter challenges. A jaded sexy alpha hero, a funny quirky loveable heroine, a few good secondary characters, chemistry, passion, sex, some drama and angst towards the end and a nicely paced slow-building journey as love eventually conquers all. Great narration too.

Worth a credit? Oh YES it so is.

My heart is still bursting over

Would you consider the audio edition of Finding Kyle to be better than the print version?
Yes, since Kirsten Leigh and Lance Greenfield bring these characters to life!

Any additional comments?
My heart is still bursting over Finding Kyle! This breathtaking story of sheer will and determination! Knocked me off my seat. Jaw wide open!
We have met Kylie before in the Wicked Horse series. Oh, this broken Man! Had me! Like he took my heart! But I never thought we would learn his story. Yes, I was seriously wrong! Sawyer Bennett took the reins with this story. Leading us on a thunderous ride of our lives! So incredibly deep and yet soul-defying. With that air of charm and those movie quotes. I couldn’t myself with falling in love.
Has to be my favorite of all Sawyer Bennett books!

Surprise Find!!

Any additional comments?

I didn't expect to enjoy this book so much. It was much more substantial than I originally gave it credit for. Though it was a quick easy read it also had a real heart and soul that made it a surprise gem. Definitely worth a credit. I never heard of the narrators before but they were good fit for the characters personality.

Forbidden Love

Jane Creeson, so innocent and pure. Living in a perfect small town, in a perfect little neighborhood and all is right in her world. She is curious about her neighbor and she has made it a personal mission to get to know him and make him talk to her. She is unyielding in her pursuit. She finally gets him to go on a date with her and she is truly infatuated with him. What she she didn’t count on was finding out all is not what it appears to be.

Kyle Sommerville has to live in hiding until he can testify against some not so nice people. He’s done things while living a lie, that would make a normal person cringe. He’s not proud of what he’s done, but, he knows why he did them. Still, he’s haunted by the demons from his past. He knew that he should keep his distance, but, every man has a breaking point. Especially when being relentlessly pursued by a beautiful woman.

The Good- This was a solidly written story of forbidden love. I loved Jane’s best friend and her Mama was a welcomed addition to the story. Such great chemistry and the tug of war feelings made for great drama.

The Bad- Jane was somewhat annoying. Kyle tried to tell her no and that he couldn’t get involved, but, she pushed and pushed. When all hell broke loose, she treated him like he lied to her on purpose when it was really all her fault for not walking away when he told her no.

The Ugly- The breakup was awful. I felt so bad for Kyle. Also, what he had to do in order to infiltrate the MC. Those demons run soul deep.

This is a story that delves into the power of true love. To what extent do you forgive and allow love to heal the wounds of the past? Kyle tried so hard to steer her away, but, Jane was having none of that. She wanted this Man...period. Her innocence coupled with his rough edges was pure magic. She brought out the best in him and on some level I believe that’s what broke him. She gave him a sense of normalcy in the midst of his chaos. When trouble came knocking and interrupted their bliss, the true test of their love began. How will she ever forgive him for bringing trouble to her door? How can love conquer all, when it could possibly cost you your life? What if you’ve already fallen so deep that you can’t move on? Finding Kyle is easily an EBR Must Read! A Solid 5 Stars!!

Loved It

A stand-alone from the talented Sawyer Bennett and in my opinion she has another winner on her hands.
This is the story of Kyle Sommerville and Jane Cresson. Not all is as it seems with Kyle who is in hiding and trying to avoid unwanted attention. Jane is intrigued and wants to get to know her broody and sexy neighbour; she knows there is more to him than meets the eye.
Thanks to Jane’s determination, she manages to slowly break down the walls that Kyle has built up. This was not just a book about love, but a journey of discovery; Kyle needs to come to terms with his past and all that entails. Jane sees beneath the surface to the caring and kindness that is Kyle and with her help he comes to terms with his past.
Jane is Kyle’s light in his darkness. I loved these two together and so wanted them to get a happily ever after.
But will it last? Can their blossoming love survive the dangers of Kyle’s past and will Jane forgive him when his past is exposed?
I always enjoy reading a Sawyer Bennett novel, her characters; particularly the women are so real. Jane is a strong, determined and feisty leading lady, one I really liked and would love to have as a friend. There was smoking hot romance, danger and on occasion sadness. Finding Kyle, is dark, gritty and raw and extremely well written and I didn’t want it to end
