Publisher's summary

She's addicted to sex. He's addicted to booze... the only way out is rock bottom.

No one would suspect shy Lily Calloway's biggest secret. While everyone is dancing at college bars, Lily stays in the bathroom. To get laid. Her compulsion leads her to one-night stands, steamy hookups, and events she shamefully regrets. The only person who knows her secret happens to have one of his own.

Loren Hale's best friend is his bottle of bourbon. Lily comes at a close second. For three years, they've pretended to be in a real relationship, hiding their addictions from their families. They've mastered the art of concealing flasks and random guys that filter in and out of their apartment.

But as they sink beneath the weight of their addictions, they cling harder to their destructive relationship and wonder if a life together, for real, is better than a lie. Strangers and family begin to infiltrate their guarded lives, and with new challenges, they realize they may not just be addicted to alcohol and sex.

Their real vice may be each other.

For the most fulfilling listening experience, the Calloway Sisters series should be listened to along with the Addicted series.

Addicting story

Reading through the description, I wasn't too sure what to expect. What I listened to was a very gut wrenching love story about 2 people that are suffering through addictions. Every decision they make is about enabling each other until an expected influence helps them begin to make choices to get healthy after a horrific rock bottom night.

The narrator is absolutely perfect. The way she portrays these characters is completely believable and you end up getting so absorbed by the story and not hung up on the narration.

I'm excited that this is a multiple book series and I can't wait to keep listening. Definitely worth the credit.

Emotional and gripping, even 2nd time around.

What did you love best about Addicted to You?

The Ritchie sisters did a tremendous job in addressing such a pressing issue within our society by creating a world for us to step in & experiencing it ourselves. It was like I could almost feel the love, the pain, the shame and the guilt of Lil & Lo as they battled their addictions. But through it all, it was beautiful & heartwarming to see how the people around them battle alongside them. Lil & Lo's relationship was an unhealthy one, but their genuine love & care for each other will have you rooting at them to fight and get better.

Who was your favorite character and why?

OMG this is tough, it's like Sophie's choice! But if I really have to choose, my favorite couple has always been Lily & Loren. (Yup still can't settle for ONE character, sorry!!) They've always been against the odds of the world and the underdogs and without them, we wouldn't have met the entire gang of this series ;) ♥

What about Erin Mallon’s performance did you like?

I love how she captured Lily's POV so well, it resonates with the struggling timid voice that Lily would have portrayed had she been real and Erin Mallon did her character justice. I was also amazed by how she captured Loren's voice and brought the whole story to life.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

This book itself had the power to move me, so imagine if words brought that kind of emotions, then what more hearing the words themselves. Towards the last quarter of the book, I definitely got a little weepy at moments where LiLo hit rock bottom and Erin Mallon certainly brought those emotions to an all time high for me.

Any additional comments?

Read this series! I've re-read this series two times already and I wish I could say I'm exaggerating but I still feel all the overwhelming emotions again even with a re-read! I almost cannot imagine a world without these amazing people that the Ritchie series have birthed and now with an audiobook, it's coming to life! I hope the entire series will be on audiobook and I'll be praying hard enough for this series to be made into a TV series/movie, then my life will be complete!! #fizzleforce

Absolutely Addicting!!!!

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Yes, I would recommend this audiobook to a friend because this story is full of passion, steam, romance, emotions, and raw vulnerability. The story line is so unique and unlike any new adult romance books I have read/listened. The performance of Erin Mallon as Lily was so emotional and you can feel the connection that she has with the characters.

What did you like best about this story?

What I love about this story is the tale of two broken lost people facing their addictions and demons. And not only they are dealing with the addictions but they are in love. This story is about survival, friendship, love, addictions, soul mates, best friends, and letting go. The beauty of the story is Lily and Lo and how it went from friendship to soul mates and to lovers. This book packed so much emotions that you could FEEL everything from heartache, guilt, despair, anger, lust, temptation, hurt, pain, sadness, lost, and love. You know a book is worthy to read/listen is when you can be emotionally invested in a story and feel for the characters. Lo and Lily's story will touch your hearts!

Which character – as performed by Erin Mallon – was your favorite?

Erin Mallon did an amazing job on the performance of Lily Calloway!!! She hands down nailed it. You could feel the raw emotional and heartbreaking moment Erin evoked playing Lily. Not only did she do an amazing job as Lily, but she played the role of Lo perfectly. To be able to play characters that are so raw, broken and vulnerable was an amazing fete that she did.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

I think the tag line that the Authors made is THE BEST and the MOST PERFECT tag line ever: "She’s addicted to sex. He’s addicted to booze…the only way out is rock bottom."

I think their tag line speaks alone and would make anyone want to read, listen and watch a film of this book. But if I were to make a tag line, I would say it would go something like this "Your Love is My Addiction."

Any additional comments?

I have also read the book and here is my review of the book:

"She’s addicted to sex. He’s addicted to booze…the only way out is rock bottom."

When I first read the blurb of this book, I knew this would be intense and different from the usual story-lines that I normally read. The authors, Krista & Becca Ritchie, did a fantastic job in writing and addressing a sensitive matter, addiction and the people who enable the addiction.

Addicted to You, focuses on two rich and prominent childhood friends, Lily Calloway and Loren Hale. From the outsider's perspective, they would be seen as two childhood friends in a loving and stable relationship while attending college at the University of Pennsylvania. Lily and Loren seem to have it all: a perfect relationship as boyfriend and girlfriend, money, family and friends. What friends and family don't know, is that Lily and Loren have been keeping secrets of their addiction.

Lily Calloway, comes from a loving family with three sisters: Poppy, Rose and Daisy. She has parents who love and adore her. Sisters, who are fiercely protective and loving especially her older and closest sister, Rose. What they don't know is that Lily has an addiction to SEX.. Lily is not just obsessed but seriously addicted to sex. Her daily routines must consist of sex, watching porn, daydreaming of sexual fantasy and masturbation. Lily cannot function without achieving her sexual high/desires. Her addiction has affected her schoolwork and time with her family.

Loren Hale, son of Jonathan Hale of Hale Corporation, is rich, handsome, and attends a prestigious University. Loren, also known as Lo, seems to have it have all but is addicted to ALCOHOL.. His addiction to alcohol is so severe that his morning consist of the hard stuff and ends with him either passed out or completely blacked out. He's consistently drinking whiskey, bourbon, beer or any hard alcohol that he can get his hands on. His addiction is affecting his lack of schoolwork, attendance, and personality. Lo, stems his addiction from the pressures of his demanding father and the abandonment of his mother.

Being childhood friends, Lo and Lily knows each others addiction. For three years, they have been deceiving their family that were boyfriend and girlfriend. They have been covering up for one another so they can continue their addictions. Soon, Lo and Lily decides that they no longer want to be in a fake relationship but a "real one" together and that they can help each other out with their addictions. Lo will help satisfy Lily's sexual addiction and Lo will try to cut back on drinking. As it turns out, their addiction only intensifies and they soon find themselves enabling one another. They become addicted to not only sex and alcohol but to each other. Lily craves the sexual highs that Lo can provide for her. He has become her crutch and vice-versa. Both are well aware of their addictions and feel guilty about it but they just can't seem to stop doing it.

Lo and Lily loves each other so much that they are afraid to lose one another. Their addiction has reach a point where it has gotten unhealthy and destructive and soon their family and friends have to step in to intervene.

This book ends with Lo and Lily going their separate ways trying to get healthy and beat their addiction. It ends with them promising to wait for each other. Lo will be entering rehab and Lily starting all over at new school with her sister, Rose and getting therapy. Their journey to getting healthy continues in the next book of the series. Will they succeed or fail?

My Whoo Haaa Hurts

Any additional comments?

The narration is so damn great that this chick makes my vagina hurt cuz she wants it so much. I have to start and stop because I feel like I need some feel good but the most important thing is the story is great but I think the narrator is toooooo dang on good cuz she sounds like sex on a stick, tree trunk or a tall tower. If you can listen to a sexual book without getting a quick fix, listen to this one. I have to listen then stop cuz she makes me need some really great ACTION. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

WHAT A JOURNEY AND IT JUST THE BEGINNING

Any additional comments?

OMG what a great different read from the normal. This was so out of the box from my books and yet it was refreshing to see the complexity of these characters this is so different from most of my romance books. Worth your credit you will not be disappointed I didn't want to stop listening.

Great Story!!

I am one book away from being done with the series and the spin off. Both series' intertwine to make one great series. The narrations are great, being told by multiple POVs. I'm a fan of all the couples involved now!!! Easy to get into the story and get obsessed!!

Enjoy with caution

The subject matter in this story is very deep. It covers alcoholism and sex addiction. It's about two people who have an addiction and both help and enable each other. If you're in the mood for a heavier read I would definitely get this one. It still very much follows the new adult genre but it is a much more serious book than most. It is well written with a very good narration.

This is the book of my life!

I fell in love with this story because for me it was so relateable sans the rich family. I love this book with all my heart. It was such a great listen. Didn't have as many hot racy scenes as I was thinking (hoping) it would. Even w/o that I ABSOLUTELY LOVED this book! !!!!!
