Publisher's summary

New York Times best-selling author Jennifer L. Armentrout delivers the unforgettable story of a woman whose new life has just begun - but may end in murder....

Julia Hughes has always played it safe until she learned a very painful lesson. Now Julia's starting over with a job in the Louisiana bayou, working for the infamous de Vincent family, the massively wealthy brothers who are haunted by a dark reputation and whispers of misdeeds. Hired to care for their troubled sister, Julia can't afford any distractions, but the menacing presence in the mansion and the ever-present temptation of the handsome Lucian de Vincent isn't something anyone can ignore.

Julia knows better than to get wrapped up in Lucian. He's from a world she can't relate to. Plus, he's her employer. But his wicked touch and sensual promises are too much deny. What starts with a kiss ends with so much more.

Lucian is the youngest brother - the wildest, most unpredictable one. He's the unrepentant bachelor of the family, known for his escapades in and out of the bedroom, and he wants Julia. There's something about her that makes Lucian want to lay himself bare, but some secrets are better left buried, right along with a past that could not only bring down a dynasty but destroy Julia in the process.

5 Moonlight Sins Stars

It’s no secret I love this author, she is one of my go to’s for anything YA, NA, or paranormal. So I was looking forward to a contemporary romance from her. Oh boy does she deliver.

I loved that there was also a mystery going on as well as the romance. It made the story so much more intriguing.

Julia is a character I wanted to get to know she acts out of character but then reins it in. And you have to wonder what is she going to do? I loved that she puts Lucian in his place. Girl power.

But Lucian isn’t that much of alpha that he can’t see what he does wrong. I love that he can make anything sound dirty. I can’t get enough of his character.

The connection these two have is steamy no lie they are attracted to each other in a big way. But Julia isn’t a hit it and quit it kind of girl. And Lucian is having the feeling and he doesn’t know what to do. The battle they face is not only between them and this story will keep you interested let me tell you.

I really enjoyed CJ’s narration she can read me books all day long. Blake’s narration is ok, it isn’t who I would have picked and some of these voices were more distracting but they weren’t terrible. Maybe just not thought out enough.

*You don't have to like my review but its 100% my opinion, and I am allowed to have it.*

Whisper

Why does the male narrator do this slow whisper voice throughout his narration. It’s annoying. I admit I’m only on chapter 2 but I can tell I’m gonna be annoyed.

4 sizzling stars

Started off a bit slow for me but the characters and the story eventually pulled me in. I wanted to know what happened in the house. I wanted to know about Lucians past. I wanted Julia to find a HEA. She was such a likable character. And Lucian? I completely fell in love with him. I wish the plot would have been faster moving and there is a burning question I have. I hope it's answered in one of the following books.

Narration was excellent! Both narrators brought all the characters to life and made this story that much more enjoyable.

Very Dark and Delightful

Where does Moonlight Sins rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

I've listened to several audiobooks in my day, I absolutely love this one! The narrating was done very well. Loved both narrators, they did an excellent job!

What did you like best about this story?

I loved the darkness of this story. It's very mysterious. As I'm listening, I kept looking around and becoming paranoid over any little noise.

What does CJ Bloom and Blake Richard bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

I loved the southern accent each character gave to the de Vincent brothers. It's easy to forget we are in New Orleans, but they make their character's roots obvious, really love that!

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

There is a little bit of a plot twist towards the ending. That definitely moved me. Made me second guess some of the ways I was thinking at the beginning of the story.

Any additional comments?

Excellent book for someone looking for NA (new adult) romance. It has romance and mystery. The characters are well written and the story exciting! Never a dull moment at all. Highly recommend this one. The narration is wonderful too!

It was so-so

I just had a hard time finishing this book and was bored about 80% of it. Makes me sad to say because I love Jennifer Armentrout paranormal books and that's just it.....paranormal. The story was just like other books. Didn't stand out. I wanted to find out who the murderer was. That was why I forced myself to complete it. Won't be reading the next 2 books at all.

Loved it !

Great story ! There are a few plot holes (specifically how they describe how long the house has been there (17 something), or what rooms used to be used for .. when at the beginning of the book they tell her that it burnt down three times ) the male author was a little too breathy for me but the story made it worth powering through ! I’m assuming the other plot holes will be filled in in the next two books - which I look forward to reading! Can’t wait to find out about Gabe & Devlin!

Sizzling Hot!!!

First of all, I want to give a shout out to both CJ and Blake. This is the first book that I’ve listen to in which I liked both narrator’s. They were amazing and I could just picture Lucian and Julia talking like that.

Whoa, this book was hot. Lucian was hot. I found myself wishing that I was Julia. the whole time. I know this is not real, but he made me want to spend quality time with him. Ha ha.

I’m so excited to read Gabe‘s story. I actually liked him as a secondary character.

Remember, this is pretty explicit. I wouldn’t recommend a young teenager to read this.

wow!!!

I had no idea where that was going from the beginning. I honest even fought with my gut on where it might have been going but I honestly never expected the full depth of the holy @#!+ wow factor.

Moonlight Sins is only the beginning. Taylor is the start of something both decadent and irresistible. No mortal would ever be able to resist all that this man is. I fell and I fell hard. Julia wasn't able to resist either. But don't worry, this is just the beginning of trouble with the de Vincents.
