Publisher's summary

Narrated by Dermot Mulroney, a romance brimming with dark mystery by New York Times best-selling author Heather Graham!

It's winter, and a chill has settled over the area near New Orleans. Finding a stream of blood, a tourist follows it to a dead man facedown in the bayou. The man has been done in by a vicious beating so violent that his skull has been crushed in. It's barely a day before a second victim is found...once again so badly thrashed that the water runs red. The city becomes riddled with fear.

An old family friend comes to Danni Cafferty, telling her that he's terrified, he's certain that he's received a message from the Blood Bayou killer - It's your turn to pay, blood on the bayou.

Cafferty and Quinn quickly become involved, and - as they all begin to realize that a gruesome local history is being repeated - they find themselves in a fight to save not just a friend but perhaps their very own lives.

Story telling like no orhers~

The 1001 Dark night series is fantastic. It's like a modern fairytale brought to life. So, if your in the mood for a story that is quick , bewitching and full of promise, this series will definitely please.

Another great book

I enjoy listening to Heather’s books. Listening allows me to focus on other crafts that I do, so multitasking is wonderful. I just finished this book and still got goose bumps at the end! I recommend this book to anyone who wants a good read.

Swamp Creatures

Aww, this was such a great book! I love old legends. It had the perfect amount of spookiness mixed in with the supernatural. The narrator is amazing!

Quick murder mystery

Dreamt Mulroney has a perfect voice for this creepy New Orleans swamp murder mystery...listen quick as the characters multiply and talk swiftly.... a few accents make it a listen you must concentrate on closely...

Dermot Mulroney!

Heather Graham is on my read list. 1001 Dark Nights is also on my read list. When I noticed that Blood on the Bayou was being narrated by Dermot Mulroney, well, it made the must-listen-to-now list. I wasn't disappointed. Dermot Mulroney did a wonderful job with narration. Heather Graham wrote a fun and entertaining story. It didn't matter that I haven't read any of the Cafferty and Quinn series yet. (That will be corrected.) There was enough backstory provided that I didn't get lost. I enjoyed all of the characters. The story was well paced with good action and suspense, with just enough romance for spice. Well done all.

great story

this was a great novela that had some wonderful twists and turns. My only criticism would be in the fact that it felt like it wrapped up a little bit too quickly. Other than that it was a fantastic read / listen.

Really fun mystery.

The intro almost turned me off but then it stopped and the real storyline got going. So yes I will be looking into more books by Heather Graham.
The Narration by Dermot Mulroney was spot on. For me he added color and life to the tale. So yes this one that I will be adding to my permanent audible collection.

run-on

the person reading the story did not give pauses in between scenes and chapters and just seemed like he was rushing through the story
