Publisher's summary

From USA Today best-selling author Meghan March comes a sexy new duet with a hero you won't want to miss.

Fall for a woman over text messages? No way in hell.

Reality can never be as good at the fantasy, right?

Wrong. It's better.

Banner Regent is smart, funny, and so far out of my league she might as well be royalty.

I'm a mechanic from Kentucky. She's a New York City party girl.

We were never supposed to meet, but one text started something neither of us saw coming.

How do you seduce the woman who already has everything?

Show her what it's like to be with a real good man.

Pay twice for one book

This is not a review of the book it is a criticism of the practice of writing a half story and selling it as a "book" and then selling the other half of the story as a second book, charging readers twice! I love Audible books but it is not cheap especially if you are an avid listener. Whoever is perpetuating this practice needs to stop! I will never again buy a half book and if I do so again I will return it as I did this one when I realized it!!!

Another Greedy Author & Publisher

What would have made Real Good Man better?

I'm not going to comment on the book because I feel like I was cheated ... again. I'm sick of authors not finishing a book. It's paying full price for something that's promised and getting ripped off at the very last minute. So I'm saluting the publishers and authors with a single finger.

You all need to take a page out of Kristen Ashley's work. She delivers!

Any additional comments?

Narration was 6 stars!!!!

Real Good book, BUT - big error at the end!!!

Would you listen to Real Good Man again? Why?

I doubt I would want to listen again. Characters are good but not compelling. And, if I suggested it to anyone, I'd have to tell them, PLEASE do not listen to the last part - the epilogue at the end is for after book 2!!! If you listen to the last part of this first book, it's way out of place and will not make any sense..., and will create a HUGE spoiler that will make you maybe not want to hear book 2. This book, technically, ends on a cliffhanger. WHY the publisher (audiobook company?) stuck the epilogue at the end of the first book, I'll never know. Doesn't anyone edit things?!

Have you listened to any of Elena Wolfe and Sebastian York ’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

I like both of their voices.

Any additional comments?

This guy's way too good to be true.

I WAS EUPHORIC AS I DEVOURED EACH VIVID SCENE

There's four things you can always guarantee when you start a new Meghan March book and they're things she has consistently treated us to.. loveable characters who capture your imagination, hot as Hell sex scenes, a compelling storyline with some twists and a captivating feel-good romance. Well this Duet delivered on all those points by the truck-full and I had a very lazy and enjoyable Sunday discovering what hoops her latest characters had to go through when Cupid's arrow targeted them.

I loved the characters, I loved that it was dual POV, I loved the story, I loved that there's plenty of storyline after the "I love you's" and I love the narration. BUT what I didn't love was having to use 2 credits for 2 x 5 hr split story Duet books that could've and should've just been 1 whole book for 1 credit. Come on Meghan don't fall into this trap.. other Authors have given us 10+, 20+ and even 30+ hr stories for just 1 credit - surely you can too?

Worth a credit? Yes.. and it's only because her books are THAT damn good because I won't usually use a credit on such a short listen.. but please stop penalizing us her fans.

This review was for both books.

5 Real Good Man Stars

HOT…HOT…HOT… This book is…you guessed it HOT. But wow it’s got a story to tell.

I loved the interaction between well any characters in this book. The wit and the backs, fabulous I can’t say enough about it.

Banner is who I want to be her when I grow up. LMAO… She never gets tongue tied well mostly never; she just knows what she is going to say is epic. The come backs and the general banter is amazing.

Logan yummy, yummy Logan can make anyone get tongue tied. He is that manly, man we always hear about. He is very confident he knows what he wants and what he doesn't.
I think what I liked best about this book is that they both are very relatable he works as a mechanic and she goes through real life struggles.

And together they just make sense. I can’t wait to continue their story because I am sure it’s not going to be dull or boring with a cliffy like that.

I am a fan of dual narration, to say the least but I am a huge fan of both of these narrators. Elena is effortless; I just love all her voices for each character.
Then there is Sebastian and boy I am telling you if you have not listened to an audiobook by him you are missing out.
Swoon…
Fangirls over both of these guys. Worth the credit hells yes!

*You don't have to like my review but its 100% my opinion, and I am allowed to have it.*

4.5 Stars - Loved!

Erotic Romance. Must be read together. Spin off of Dirty Billionaire and Dirty Girl Series but you don't need to read them first.
4.5 Stars
There is a reason that Meghan March became a new favorite author for me in 2016 and Real Good Man and Real Good Love are perfect examples of why. It had everything I love in books, a manly alpha man, humor, dirty talking, romance, believable love, banter, awesome sexy times, and very likable characters.

Banner Regent (love the name) is Greer’s (from Dirty Girl) best friend. She is a New Yorker through and through. Being from New York myself, I got her. She was no virgin (at all). She has had a full sex life, and had no desire for a relationship. She was accidentally texted by Logan (who is friends with Holly from the Dirty Billionaire books who is married to Greer’s brother), and they began a text friendship. She would tell him about the wimpy loser guys she dates and they would have fun laughing about them. Logan is a mechanic from KY, so Banner felt perfectly safe texting, she knew they’d never meet, and she wouldn’t have a chance to screw up their friendship.

“Logan is supposed to stay inside my little magic box of a phone where I feel like I’m still in control, because the second he becomes real, as in flesh and blood, all bets are off.”

When she drunkenly flirts with him, Logan decides to take a trip to New York to meet the mystery woman he has formed a relationship with.
“You have to meet him. I mean, you can’t miss this chance.”
"I can’t! I’m going to screw everything up, and then—” I cut myself off before I can admit that it’s going to suck so much major donkey D if I lose him in my life. Even in this short period of time, I’ve gotten attached to whatever we have.”

But when they meet…instant heat.

Until she screws it up with him big time. And soon enough, she screws up at work and loses her job and apartment. Greer hooks her up with housesitting for Holly in…guess where? Small town, KY. Where everyone is in your business, and the guy she messed up with is the most eligible bachelor in town.

Logan has a fan club of women who will do anything for him, but he doesn’t like to poop where he eats. So when Banner comes to town and catches Logan’s attention, she gains the hatred of half of the female population. Not the best start. But it was a start over for Logan and Banner.

"So where do we go from here?"
"We're going to get to know each other. I'm going to take you out on dates and show you what we both have been missing. You're going to fall in love with me, Banner. That's where we're going from here."

The thing I liked best about Banner, besides her spunk and strength, is this:

“I never have to wonder what the hell she’s thinking, or if she’s got a hidden agenda, because she’s got no filter and has no problem telling me exactly how things are.”

There is no shortage of sexy times, and Logan is a real alpha who works with his hands (and tongue and everything else lol), and his alpha dirty talking is so hot, even with a strong independent New Yorker like Banner. Let me tell you, the car scene (fans self)…

The second book had a lot of characters and outside of the romance situations which kept up excitement and interest, but I missed more of the love story a bit. Still, it was a fun and exciting story.

Likes:

•I absolutely LOVED Banner. She was my kind of girl. Tough, says what’s on her mind, and doesn’t play games.
•Love that it started from two strangers texting, such a current way to meet.
•The nickname.
•The humor and banter.
•That she has actually had sex. A lot. With multiple people.
•That he’s a real man, a mechanic. He’s not a millionaire, outlaw biker, cage fighter, rock star, movie star, prince or even a stepbrother!
•There is some suspense.
•Character growth and compromise.
•More action than angst.

Dislikes:

•I think this could have been one book. It was very expensive to buy both audiobooks, when at a little over 5 hours each, they are about the same length put together as the average audiobook.

The Down & Dirty:
Real Good Man and Real Good Love are great examples of the reason I love reading. Narrated by my two favorite narrators, it made it even better. Banner is one of my favorite female characters ever because she is tough, never sneaky (in a bad way), and never played games. There was a ton of banter and humor, and even more dirty talking and dirty doing! Logan was a real man who fixes things and ran his business and I thought it was hot as heck. Something held me back from loving it as much as Dirty Girl and Dirty Love, but all in all, I loved this duet. I'm thinking Boone may be the next series? I hope so, but I hope it's just one book, not split in two, the one major complaint I had about this.

Rating: 4.5 Stars, 4.5 Heat, 5 Narration

Meghan does it again!! Loving Banner & Logan!

I knew going into this book that it was the 1st part of a duet so even though it has a huge cliffhanger it didn't freak me out like cliffhangers usually do. Not that I could have waited for both books before I started because it's Meghan March!!

I loved this book! The characters are so fun and realistic. I love a hot bossy sweet southern man and Logan is exactly that. He is a hard working man and when he realizes what he want he jumps in completely. Banner is a city girl, she is so funny and has a plan for her future. Both of these characters have the same ideas for their future, work hard and succeeded, Oh and to prove that everyone is wrong about them! The chemistry between these characters is off the charts. They come together and it's pure heat. As always with Meghan's books, the sex scenes are so hot!

This book ends before the drama starts and leaves you needing to know what happens next. Thankfully the wait is only about 2 weeks. I'll be dropping whatever I'm listening to that day to listen to Real Good Love <3

The narration is fabulous! Sebastian York uses a very slight southern draw and yeah it's hot! Elena Wolfe is great as always. Great Choice for these characters!

Needed southern accent

I love Sebastian York but he cannot pull off anything close to a southern accent! Too bad, it would've been more in line with the character.

Not worth it

This book was too vulgar (and that's saying a lot for me because I usually like spicy novels). And the female lead character is ridiculous. Always drinking and talking about her many one night stands. Nothing hooked me into wanting things to go well for her. The performances though by both readers was great.
