Publisher's summary

One key, one door, one man, one leap.

Alison Wescot inherited the antique store the day her mother died. It was nothing she wanted, but she couldn't part with it. The antiques inside were all she had left of her mother. She thought she knew every piece in the store, until one day she discovered a box with a key inside, along with a letter from her mother. A key to a door she never knew existed.

Lucas Azure is the leader of the kingdom's elite guard, a group of men whose sole purpose was to protect their territory and people. The youngest of the king's four children, he was also the deadliest. The men in his group followed him faithfully, never questioning his orders. When Alison appeared, he knew he had to protect her at all costs.

The day Alison walked through the door, her recurring dream became a reality. The man who always remained a mystery was standing before her. There were dragons flying overhead and a castle in the distance. She was now in the Azure Kingdom.

Decent Fantasy

Thought the narration was really good, she did a good job with the male characters as well as giving a strong sense of who main character is. This is kinda not my typical fantasy listen, but was OK. Story was pretty typical and straight froward, no real twist or turns. Main character was likable, the rest of the cast was fair.

Really good

I really like this book it’s a true example of every girls Fairytale going to another kingdom finding her prince. I love Allison she’s a strong woman I love that in a female/ main character she’s not afraid to stand up for what she want even though she knows may not be what others want for her. Really great story definitely recommend

3.5 Stars

The best way for me to describe this book is light fantasy. The storyline and characters were intriguing but there is way too much “fluff” in this book, meaning too much in the way of descriptions and characters thoughts. I personally like to see more character interaction as the story flows. Other than that, it was fun to listen to. I enjoyed the facts about the skeleton key and I liked Alison and Luke.

Sarah Puckett did an excellent job with the narration!

Poor narration

Might have been an okay book if it weren't for the strange sexual references and very poor reading. At times it was difficult even listen to because of pausing in the wrong places, inappropriate inflection, etc. It almost seemed as if the person reading did not read the book prior to recording.

Beautifully Enchanting and Compellingly Engaging

This story is the entry point into a realm of endless possibilities and the stuff of dreams. It is full of hope with an underlying flow of danger. All of the characters you discover are both intriguing and amazing. They will have you on the edge of your seat by sending this story into more twists and turns than you ever saw coming. Nothing is more refreshing than a story that truly takes on a life of its own.

I loved everything about this breathtaking book! It was exciting, heartwarming, and incredibly passionate. The plot will pull you in and capture your heart from the very beginning. Wild horses couldn't pull me away, but I would haven distracted by a wild dragon or two.

Interesting Concept

This story has me a bit hesitant but also has me hoping the next book recaptures some of the magic of the beginning of this book. This had a great narration.

Looking forward to the next book

I love the relationship between these two. The story was great but I felt the characters needed to be more defined and there need to be more details provided about what happens between the two kingdoms...and I wanted more dragons though I’m sure that’s in the next book

Captivating Fantasy Romance!

This is the first book in The Iridescent Realm Series, a Fantasy Romance. I loved it! Alison and Lucas's story is sweet, original, fast-paced, and entertaining. They share an instant attraction and a strong chemistry. Elliott, Addison, and Oliver are great supporting characters, and I would love to know more about them. The storyline is captivating, and the ending is beautiful. The scenery is well described. Sarah Puckett did a fantastic job with the narration. Now, I can't wait to listen to the next installment in the Series, The Pine Forest, Addison and Oliver's story. I love Michelle Dare's writing. She never disappoints.

The Iridescent Realm

The Azure Kingdom (The Iridescent Realm, Book 1) drew me in with its synopsis. I absolutely loved the thesis, very intriguing. A magical key and mystical realm. A vividly exemplified story. The plot pulls you in & captures your mind. I'm looking forward to what's next in this fantasy realm series.

Narator Sarah Puckett did a super craft narrating this audio. Easily distinctable characters and wonderful performances with male vocals too. Her tone is perfect.

The Azure Kingdom

This was okay.To me it was ore a YA book, though the lead character has already been married.Allison inherits an antique store when her mother dies. She eventually finds a letter and key which leads her to another world. She heads to the door in search of her father.Sarah Puckett is a good narrator.“I was voluntarily provided this free review copy audiobook by the author, narrator, or publisher.”
