She's my addiction, my love - my life.

She's changed me, and I never want to go back.

I tried to protect her.

Hell, I tried to protect myself, but I f - ked it all up.

I may be a sick bastard, but I would lay down my life for her.

And I'll do whatever it takes to make every inch of her mine again.

I always tell her for every ounce of pleasure a price must be paid.

She's already paid more than she ever owed.

Now it's my turn to pay.

4.5 Her Web Master Stars

I have a book fairy, she knew I loved this series and she gifted me a copy.. OH I forgot how much I loved Quentin. He is just so dang yummy. Yes I used yummy to describe him.

I wasn't his biggest fan in the second book because of what he did to Sophie, but everyone makes mistakes right. And in this book he is trying to make amends.

Oddly enough it was Sophie I wanted to shake and be like NO he isn't kidnapping you women can’t you see he is trying to get through to you. So you have to listen to him.

After the accident, I was heartbroken for him but couldn't blame him for just saying you know what. If that’s what you think then I can’t change it and move on. I love that he put himself first. And in turn it just allowed the chips to fall where they may.

LOVE, LOVE, LOVED the narration…that man and voice I swear…shivers people shivers! Some of his audios are going on my wish list right freaking now!

*You don't have to like my review but its 100% my opinion, and I am allowed to have it.*

Male Narrator is Incredible!

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Definitely recommend. Love the whole series, but this one was my fave. The male narrator MADE the story with his performance - supremely sexy. We've been waiting this whole time to hear from Quentin, and he makes it all worth it!

This series is a no for me

2⭐️ from me. It’s hard for me not to give it a lower rating, but the ending is why I’m keeping it at a 2⭐️. I wanted to love this series. I kept going in hopes that I would. I was so far in that I pushed through. When I think of them I think of manipulation and toxicity. It’s not the spice that’s the problem… it’s the actual relationship as a whole. Maybe it’s my failing as a human that I couldn’t forgive everything that happened🤷🏻‍♀️

Can the women get these rich backstories too?

First off, the reading was fantastic, filled with acting and emotion and power. The performance was great.

This being the third in the series, it follows something that I find odd about this whole "women driven" genera. Why can't the women protagonists have rich backstories like so many of the men do in these stories.

If this series had just stayed about Sophie venturing into BDSM and all that entailed like the first book, that would have been cool, but in the second book, you see her getting pushed to the side as we follow Quentin getting an award, development of his career, working hard and all this other conflict while the heroine's only non sexual conflict is her friend being a hostage in a robbery. Come on!

This being third book, we know nothing about the heroine that isn't related to the male protagonist and thats what I find so lopsided about this book and frankly the genera. The women in these stories are only developed sexually, while the dudes have all this rich backstory to overcome that isn't sexually related.

I really want to see more women with stories outside of only their lady parts. I want to see them developed as characters as much as the guys they are sleeping with. I just don't get why we follow them as characters (the women) for them to become damsels in distress in their own stories.

Quentin's conflict is interesting (compounded by the great reading) but I want a woman character that strong too. I want her to have just as much development outside of her sexuality as she does in her sexuality. I thought I'd get that with "women writers" but apparently it's harder to get that than you think.

It's an interesting book in the series it just feels really lopsided considering the first two books.
