Publisher's summary

From New York Times best-selling author and Audie Award winner CD Reiss...

In the era of pay phones, groupies, and party pills, there were three of us.

Strat. A rock god who walked on air.

Indy. A handsome musician smart enough to live through stardom.

Me, a girl with everything to lose and nothing she wanted to keep.

I loved them both.

They say three's a crowd, but maybe I liked crowds...until the one thing I wanted to keep was stolen out of my arms.

I left that world, straightened up, went to law school.

I was fine until Indy walked back into my life to remind me of what I'd lost.

They say there's no time like the present, but when the past shows up with an invoice there's gonna be hell to pay.

Good story but too short!

I loved the story but it was way too short and didn't get in depth into the love story very much...especially in the present 1994 part of the story....we got a lot more detail in the past flash backs....but those were short and far between. I definitely wasn't expecting the story to end with 2+ hours left! The synopsis didn't say anything about there being a different 2nd story at the end!

This is the CD stuff I love...

I love the Drazen family stories, full of turmoil, mischief and sexy hot! This is Margie's story and I just stumbled upon it and so glad I did, she was a great character in the Spin series(Teresa's story, highly rec.) and thoroughly enjoyed getting to know her story. Excellent narration and book 2 is a must!

Secrets

What did you love best about Secret Sins?

Mind blowing does not describe Cin’s story or you may know her Margie Drazen very well. More secrets behind the Drazen family walls discovered. OMG I started having my suspicions early on but you really just don’t think anyone can be that cruel but oh they can be down right cold.
Margie was one hell of a smart determined teenager as CD has shown us. She has grown into an amazing hard working woman.
I loved this book knowing it’s a standalone I’m still hoping we get more of Margie’s story. I’m routing for the truth to come out.

Love

My jaw dropped. Great book. Best to read following the Submission series. I love the writing of CD Reiss. The Drazen family keeps me wanting more. And what a talent for connecting them all. Cant wait to read more!

What a secret!

I loved the submission series, Johnathan and Monica, this is a secret related to that part of the Drazen family secret... Elena does of course her usual best work here, Margie’s story is very relevant , CD, brings it to bigger than life as always! Her books are an automatic yes for me... don’t miss this if you love Johnathan....

Great story. C.D. Reiss never dissapoints

This story can be read as a standalone or as a complement to the Songs of Submission Series and Corruption Series by C.D. Reiss. I feel that having just read the SoS provided me with much background and depth in the family dynamics as well as character motivation. With this being said this was a well developed story filled with twits and turns but filled with every emotion. It's told in the past and present so it allows you to go through Margie's formative years and provides understanding for her actions. The narration by Elena Wolfe, as always, is spot on!

I was stunned!

Not only was the plot twist a shocking moment, but when I thought it was over it was followed by the novella "Beg" (Book 1 of "Submission", Jonathan's story). My jaw dropped!!

Having already read the complete Submission Series I hadn't put 2 and 2 together. This changes so much that I will be reading book 2 of the Sins Duet before rereading Submission.

I feel like my world has shifted, but in a great way. LOVE CD REISS! Plus, she has amazing narrators! Everyone of my favorite narrators can be found in a Reiss book.

Absolutely captivating!

CD Reiss not only knows how to write an amazing story but she possesses the ability to capture your mind, heart, curiosity, desire, all of your emotions, into her books! I absolutely could not get away from this book for a second! From the very first chapter, I was completely hooked by these characters and where their stories were going and where they’d been. This book is sexually explicit. The narrator, Elena Wolf, is perfection as always. I downloaded book 2 immediately. No regrets!!! None. I’m excited to keep listening to all of her titles.

YES IT'S A SHORT STORY BUT IT PACKS A MIGHTY PUNCH

Although the storyline went back and forwards in time a wee bit too much for me I did love the characters and the well-written plot about Margaret Drazen and the group of Musician friends she hung out with in 1982 when she was known then as Cin. It was a time of groupies, drugs, sex and rock n roll and Margie was a good girl who was besotted by two Musicians Strat and Indy and the feelings went both ways. But neither man would choose who got to be with Cin.. until one night when a visiting Musician tried to take what was theirs.. and the night of pleasure that followed was hot hot hot (m/f/m action).

However, the unthinkable happened and Cin was too young for adult burdens, too insecure about her feelings for either man and their feelings for her and too naive to the consequences her actions would have.. so she walked away and was left with bitter-sweet memories. But over 10 years later a very well known face from those days came back into her life and together they uncovered the truth... and it's a WTF of a truth that sends you reeling.

Despite the fact that this listen was meant to be 6.24 hrs in length it actually stopped at Chapter 31 - then for 1.30 hrs Chapters of Beg were included which is Johnathan Drazen's story which I'd already purchased. But even though it was a short listen it packed a mighty punch and was totally pleasurable.. I just wished it was longer.

Worth a credit? It was a 5hr listen and I don't usually like them or buy them.. however it's a 'safe bet' CD Reiss book as I love her writing skills and abilities as an Author - it's also narrated by a talented Narrator. So there was no dilemma for me.. YES, IMO, it's creditworthy no matter its length.
