Publisher's summary

A hot new stand-alone in the series that's been called "a total, utter must read." (Book Fanatic)

Recovering from a pulled groin muscle isn’t exactly how I planned to spend my much-needed summer vacation. But being nursed back to health by my gorgeous friend, Bailey, who’s just graduated from medical school, doesn’t exactly sound like a hardship.

We spend a week together at my family’s beach house, a week of swimming and barbecues, a week of entertaining my little cousins and sleeping right across the hall from each other. A week of watching Bailey grow closer with my mom and sisters, and my wacky but lovable grandma. A week of enjoying Bailey tending to me - which is saying something, because it involves a lot of shoving ice packs into my underwear and taping up sore muscles.

She’s funny and kind, and after just being myself for the first time in a long time, I find my walls come tumbling down. But when Bailey says she’s not looking for a relationship, I’m bound and determined to be more than just the fun hookup who sprained his groin a second time - this time with her.

Your favorite hot jocks are back with an all-new stand-alone novel. If you like sexy, confident men who know how to handle a stick (on and off the ice), and smart women who are strong enough to keep all those big egos in check, this series is for you!

(Books can be enjoyed in any order.)

I love this series but this was a little 🥱

Sweet story but there just wasn’t much of a storyline that grabbed at my attention. Barely got through this one.

I’m still liking this series

Asher and Bailey’s story was adorable. I like that characters from earlier books still makes appearances. Each book is advertised as standalone but I think you miss something if you don’t read the previous book(s).

Great series

I really enjoyed the other books in the series so I had pretty high expectations for this one, and it did not disappoint. The characters are fun and the love-story isn’t too scripted. I really enjoy both of these narrators so it was fun to get to see their interpretation of the characters.

Fun listen!

Narration - spot on - Fun!! Great banter and fun story line. I liked that it was NOT overly angsty and they didn't have fake things keeping them apart. Yea they had some issues with their jobs, but - surprise - they worked through them! I enjoyed listening to this one.

Always a great storyteller

Kendall Ryan always crafts a great story. The Ice Hawks boys are fun to follow as they woo their girls. Definitely worth the listen.

Bailey and Asher

Book 4, not my favorite in the series. What happened to Jason Clarke!?! Decent storyline and the plot moves along at a good pace. Glad to see all the characters stuck around and are in each book. Not a whole lot of hockey in this one, other than the injury. Nice family dynamic, it's sweet to see them all gather for grandma and babies Birthday. Hopefully, we will hear more about Bailey and Asher in future books in the series... Narration was okay, story was a solid. Worth the credit and your time to listen.

Slightly rushed but just as hot

While I am a huge fan of Kendall Ryan, and have purchased all of her HOT JOCK series, I find this book to be slightly different in writing style. There are a more than a few scenes that feel rushed and maybe even not fully explored. In all of her other books I never questioned what else may be happening in the characters heads, but in this book the characters are not as developed as the others.
That, coupled with the fact that new narrators are used who don’t manage to make the characters as believable as the narrators used on the previous books, I have to give the “performance” only a 3 stars.
