Publisher's summary

Reece was a guitar player and a singer at his grandfather’s pub in Dublin until someone betrays his secret. Once he was a happy and carefree young man, who finds himself on the streets and homeless.

He meets a handsome stranger, who gives him hope that the world still has people with compassion, until he discovers the man may have compassion, but he is no softie. Conner hires Reece as his houseboy.

Much to his shock, Conner Braden isn’t only a garda (Irish police officer), but he is also a Dom! The two men are complete opposites, but that doesn’t stop Reece from wanting to win his heart.

What happens when Master Braden blurs the lines between employer and Dom when Reece is his employees.

AUTHOR’S NOTE: This book contains mild BDSM elements including restraints, blindfolds, and spanking. While the story uses characters from The Irish Runaway Series, you can listen to this book as a stand-alone.

Not as much drama as expected

Cute enough story. Not as much drama as I expected. Playroom and sex scenes were hot. Connor is fine - well actually he needs to grow as a character. Throwing away someone’s stuff is a Dick move, and he has zero respect for the struggles of addiction. Reese is fine, but I think he could do better than Connor. They’re both ok characters but nothing too special.

Couple of loose ends. I expected more drama with the dad.

This narrator was TERRIBLE. He made Connor sound like an 80 year old man…. And those were the worst Irish accents I’ve ever heard. Like seriously, he would have been better off just speaking in his regular voice. My friends are from Galway and sound nothing like that. I just got back from Dublin, no one sounds like that. I don’t think anyone in Ireland sounds like that. Good lord this was a hard audio book to get through.

loved it

I loved this book. James Talbot really brings this story to life and makes you love the characters even more. After being betrayed by his father and friend Reese runs away. He finds himself homeless and under a box in the rain. Conner is walking and kicks a box only to find a handsome man under it seeking shelter from the rain. Conner wants to help him so he hires him to be his houseboy. Conner is looking for a sub and Reese is looking for a Dom. As they learn more about each other the line between becomes less clear. Can they trust each other enough to find love?

I love this series

Brina Brady hit it out of the park with this sweet story featuring a homeless young man and an Irish police officer. Master Conner Brayden was walking through the park when he came across a box that was moving. Tucked inside was Reese. Reese’s dad had thrown him out and Reese had nowhere else to go. Soaking wet, cold to the bone, Master Brayden invited Reese to his house and offered him a job as his houseboy. Soon both discovered that they had several things in common, being gay and being into the BDSM lifestyle. Master Brayden was a dom and Reese was a boy. Both had pasts that cause each to doubt the other and that causes a few problems. I adjusted the speed of the audiobook to make it a little faster. After that I really enjoyed Mr. Talbot’s Irish accent. I can’t wait to listen to the other books in this series. Enjoy!

Wow! Great!

I just loved the story of Reece and Connor. Their story starts with Reece becoming homeless and the wonderful man who gives feelings that maybe he is worthy. Reece tries to make Connor love him and yes there are a few bumps in the road to happiness but some how to strangers find each other and the Irish accent that James Talbot uses to bring the characters to life makes this one of my favorites. Another great book by Brina Brady brought to life. I can't get enough of her books!!!

Connor is lacking

I found Connor lacking in several areas as a dom , as was evidenced by his last sub Stewart and his treatment/mistreatment of him. He was unaware of his subs needs and that's not a dom!! Also Connor wasn't totally honest with Reese from the start and that caused needless problems. I voluntarily listened to a free copy of this and am giving an honest review. The narrator did a good job bringing it to life.
