Publisher's summary

Everett Monroe can’t keep his eyes off his gorgeous tenant.

He’d like to put his hands on her, too, but she’s prickly, closed-off, and gives new meaning to the word disgruntled. In other words, she’s his perfect match, and he’ll do anything to make her see it, too.

Willa Hill has finally left her teen runaway past behind and wants a fresh start - alone. Men are nothing but trouble, and she’s had enough man trouble to last a lifetime.

Too bad her irresistibly sexy, nerdy-hot landlord doesn’t agree.

When their mutual yearning becomes a white-hot fling and passion crosses carefully drawn, albeit one-sided boundaries, Everett finds himself in love and Willa finds herself in a pickle.

Because, unfortunately, when she returned to Green Valley, her problems came, too.

When the past she escaped crashes into the future she finds herself wanting more than anything, will Willa stay in Green Valley?

Or will she run away again?

Carpentry and Cocktails is a full-length contemporary romance, can be listened to as a stand-alone, and is book five in the Green Valley Library series, Green Valley World, Penny Reid Book Universe.

A nice visit to Green Valley

Of the Penny Reid world "other" authors, so far Nora Everly is my favorite.

This story is of course enhanced by the vocal stylings of Chris Brinkley but it's more than that. I love the Winston family and I will forever be a fan, but one nice thing about Nora's story - her dramatic moments are realistic. While we love them for overcoming their drama, every single Winston story has an over the top drama or two. This book is lovely and sweet (with a few sizzling scenes) and other than the perfect beauty of the two leads, could be anyone we know in real life. I'm skipping around the GVL books, next up in my personal rotation is the earlier GVL Nora - some of other the GVL authors just don't do it for me,

My least fav smarty pants story so far

The story could’ve been so much better than it was. The narrators were perfect and wonderful, and the only reason I really listened and finished it. The story was lacking in drama or plot, was shallow, weak, and even a little silly at times.

Chris Brinkley continues to shine, but...

While the narrators were wonderful. As always, Chris Brinkley was fantastic and brought the characters to life. However, it is only through the skill of the narrators that this story could be understood. The story skips chunks of time with it v up
