Publisher's summary

Carol was an avid mountain climber until an accident left her in a wheelchair. Love is the last thing on her mind, until she hires Nick to play Santa. Shocked at the sensations he elicits, she resists him and decides to date a good guy - a disabled firefighter.

Nick is drawn to Carol like a magnet to iron, and he sets out to prove that bad boys who hire themselves out can be good boys, too - especially in bed.

Carol discovers she’s not dead to passion, but when Nick’s dirty laundry is aired, she regrets choosing the naughty over the nice. Will the spirit of Christmas teach her that sometimes a huge lump of coal can turn into the brightest diamond of love?

this book struck a personal chord

when I received this book I thought it'll be a easy going book but it was much much more and for me someone with the paraplegic disorder from the day I was born this book was personal although I can feel my body I can't walk and I can understand any feeling the main character had in this book every doubt every self-pity feeling I wasn't crying in this book but it was a very emotional book for me
the author made an incredible research on the subject every word was correct the narrator was great as well loved this book very much

I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review."

A good addition to the series

In the third, stand alone story of the Bad Boys for Hire, the main characters are Nick and Carol.
Nick is a personal trainer, a man whore, and at least on the surface, self centered. Underneath that facade, he is a guy who is always willing to help anyone in need.
Carol once a very active woman became a paraplegic after a mountain climbing accident. Even though she is a successful tech wiz, her dependency on others is a hard thing to accept.
When these two meet, the attraction is evident and without meaning to , they help each other become a better person. But Nick’s past causes friction , disappointments and hurt. Will the miracle of Christmas give them a HEA or will the past destroy their chance?
Aside from the main story, the author opens our eyes to the trials and tribulations of individuals with a handicap, in this case a paraplegic. Reminding us that the wheelchair and the individual’s limitations do not define the individual.
Once again, Chris Abell’s narration of the story was very good.

There are many reasons I liked this story. The characters are, for the most part interesting and relatable. The spotlight on the handicapped, their unique and different needs but more importantly that they are no different than anyone else, just maybe with different capabilities and strength. That all is not what it seems and again very importantly, we can lie to ourselves and make others but when it comes down to brass tacks, truth is still the bottom line.

Chris Abell did a fantastic job narrating and portraying the characters.

I recieved a free Audible copy of this story, at my request, in exchange for a honest review.

A sexy romance featuring a disabled woman.

I'll be honest up front and say this audio book just wasn't for me. I loved the fact that Ayala is putting a woman in a wheelchair in the book and making it real (you even get the bathroom ritual). Her sexuality is addressed and I was fine with that. Somehow the whole book took a lean toward the sleazy side for me. I'm not sure if it was the narration, the fact that Nick had been selling himself for sex, or the combination.
Carol was a great character--very driven to not let her recent disability stop her in her goals or in enabling other disabled people to achieve theirs. Nick was working hard to redeem himself so that he would be good enough for Carol.
Sadly, this audio book just was not for me.

Rachelle Ayala is one addiction I'll gladly own.

What began as a sexy read emerged as an expedition of hope. Mr. Abell gave Nick's bad boy charm a voice. Nick gave a wounded heart a reason to soar. Carol was his motivation to become a better man. Nick was Carol's bright light at the end of dark road. Ayala wrote the words that stole my heart and Abell supplied the voice that had me catching my breath.

A great story to keep you hooked...

Nick: Christmas Holiday is the third book in the Bad Boys for Hire series. Nick has a good reputation of being bad. When the Bumblebees hire him for their Christmas party and toy drive, Carol struggles. Life has changed so much for Carol in the last six months, and her stepsister is trying to set her up with Jason. Carol agrees and for some reason Nick seems to take this as a challenge and seeks her attention too. Carol agrees to hang out with them both and seems to be swaying toward one over the other. Nick finds himself wanting to change his ways, to be a better man. Who will Carol choose? Can Nick be the man he really wants to be? Will that be enough for Carol? I really enjoyed this story, and the narrator was enjoyable to listen to as well. I definitely recommend this book!

Great Christmas Romance

I found all the information on different types of spinal injuries and what that means physically really interesting. It's worked into the story in a really natural way also giving insight into the potential thought processes of someone newly injured and how they feel as everyone in their life continues moving forwards with life.

The romance between Nick and Carol is beautiful to watch unfolding. Nick is a really interesting contradiction, he looks and acts like a bad boy when he's 'on' but the rest of the time he shows another side of himself. I really liked it when he stopped seeing Carols disability and just saw her for who she is.

Carol's also interesting and she's also putting on an act, one designed to make the people around her think she's doing better emotionally than she is.

The interactions between the two of them range from sweet to funny to hot and it's a lot of fun to listen to.

The narration is excellent, loved the character voices and the overall tone and pace was great.

I received a free copy of this book from the author and/or narrator and/or publisher and I voluntarily wrote this honest review.

Great Book!

This was an excellent book! Very well written, an entertaining story that holds your attention until the end. I listened to this book in 2 days, I really enjoyed it and was eager to find out how the story ended. You can listen to this book as a standalone. I hadn't listened to either of the 2 previous books but I was still able to follow Nick and Carols story. I think the story was very relatable and not over exaggerated as some books can be. The events that happened in the book can and do happen in real life. It's a really cute, heart warming story of change and acceptance for both Nick and Carol. Carol needed to fully come to terms with her new disability, to realize she could still fine love and be loved while Nick needed to come to terms with the realization that he wanted to grow up, become a better person and be in a long term relationship with Carol. I would highly recommend this book to others. I always find that I go into to much detail when I try to summarize books so my advice is to read the book summary at the top but know this; it is a good book that's worth both the time and a credit.

I received this book free at my request for my honest and unbiased review.
