Publisher's summary

Darkly sexy, emotional, and forbidden, a woman unwittingly falls in love with the son of her abductor. The beginning of a two-book contemporary romance series by New York Times best-selling author Monica Murphy.

Katie Watts was almost 13 when she was kidnapped at an amusement park. Held captive for days, she was finally rescued by her captor's teenage son, Will, who'd been subjected to his father's mental and physical abuse for years. In the aftermath, Katie was sent into seclusion with her family, and Will was shipped off to one foster home after another, completely disappearing from her life.

Fast forward to present day, and Katherine is ready to tell her story on prime-time news. She believes talking about it will help purge all the self-hatred and devastation once and for all. But she is wrong.

Will watches Katie's interview on TV and is inexplicably drawn to her. Her vulnerability, the quiver in her voice as she tells her story - a story he shares with her that no one else understands - makes him ache to protect her once again. He starts to follow her. Watch over her. Ensure she's safe. Banish all the horrible memories that still linger within. Because now that he's found her again, there's no way in hell he's going to lose her a second time.

A Crazy Ride!

Never before have I read a book with so many ethical dilemmas. With everything fighting against them, this couple was meant to be. Now they had to figure out how to overcome the obstacles keeping them apart. Great book!

Never Tear Us Apart

If you could sum up Never Tear Us Apart in three words, what would they be?

Breathtaking, riveting & endearing

What other book might you compare Never Tear Us Apart to and why?

Naked in Death by JD Robb, Because Eve Dallas has also suffered from the darkest of evil at a very young age. Yet, finds the strength to become a survivor.

Which scene was your favorite?

So many, but, loved the way Ethan took down the drunk with one punch.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Oh yes! So many reactions. Had me holding my breath, crying, and a very good feeling when Ethan was so very gentle and caring. Anger at her father, he really missed his chance to step up and take care of his little girl.

Any additional comments?

Shocked at the sudden ending, can't wait for "Never Let You Go" to come out. May 3, 2016, will it also be in audible???

Amazing story! Had me on the edge of my seat!

I was really worried when I started this story because I knew that the heroine had been seriously abused and there are certain things that I just can't handle reading. The author does a very good job at describing what Katie went through with just the right amount of detail. This poor girl needs a happy ending. Her life was nearly destroyed just as she was becoming a teenager and I was so taken aback by her mother, father, and sisters reaction to what happened to her. My heart broke for Katie. My heart also broke for Ethan/Wil. He had been through so much and just wanted a fresh start and achieved that with a new name and a good career. He had always wondered about Katie and after seeing her on TV he just wanted one more moment with her. The problem was he had always had feelings for her and one with one tiny taste he was hooked. I was really impressed with the narrators of this story. They really did an excellent job portraying the characters and bringing them to life. The author did an amazing job developing these characters and creating a complex plot with a villain that is cringeworthy. I purchased the second part to this story as I finished this one. I have to see if Wil and Katie get the Happily Ever After they deserve. I would recommend this audiobook to anyone who likes a suspenseful read with lots of twists and keeps you guessing what will happen next.

Intense, heart-wrenching...

5 Crazy Ass Must Read Stars!!!!!

Ok, I listened to the audible version more than I read but both formats were great. I was floored by this book. The horrors that Katie went through! And poor Will. My heart breaks for both of them.
I was happy for Katie is how she worked to heal and try to live her life. She has her weak moments but that's to be expected after going through something so traumatic.
Now Ethan (present day Will), something just didn't sit right with me. Maybe it was how he talked about being honest but never told Katie who he really was. It was like a chant I kept repeating to myself whenever he made an appearance. "You need to tell her. You need to tell her."
I'm on pins and needles now waiting for Never Let You Go to release.

Amazing!

I was captivated from the very first page. Monica really outdid herself with this one and I am about to search for the sequel now. I just can't wait! The narrators really brought the characters to life and made it so easy to feel the emotions of Ethan (Will) and Catherine. Great job!

An Emotional Roller-Coaster Ride...

The EMOTIONS! I went through so many feelings while listening this story... It was a difficult topic, but definitely not something that should be ignored. The narrator brought about the emotion from the characters and in turn you feel it in the story!
Katie was a normal 12 year old girl. She was enjoyed time with her family and spending time with her friends. This all changed in a matter of an afternoon. She was taken from a chipper, young woman to a scared, withdrawn, and isolated woman.
Katie grew up to a woman and chose to tell her story. This is where her life begins again! It begins with more problems, more secrets, and more pain for her. She continues to try to come back to life after all the tragedy she faced, and she has to learn to trust again.
Ethan is the man who jumps to Katie's rescue. Ethan does everything he can to make her happy and keep her safe. This also helps him keep his past in the past. The two are linked by tragedy, but they do not know that, so they begin to get to know each other as an adult.

This story was truly an emotional read that took me through anger, sadness, happiness, friendship, love... I was truly not sure where my heart would go but I know that I loved every bit of the story and couldn't stop reading until I knew what happened with the story.
The story was truly an emotional rollercoaster and life was definitely best with Ethan and Katie figured out how to exist as friends.
Part 1 was a great beginning to the story!
