Concerned for her safety, he's determined to bring Samantha back to her coven. His mission is to go find the novice witch and bring her home, nothing more, nothing less; falling for her is not supposed to be part of the plan.

Samantha doesn't want to be a witch, yet that's exactly what she is. After failing to elicit her magic, she escapes to the mountains in an attempt to resume a semblance of her previous human life. When an arsonist torches her cabin, Samantha's worst fears are realized. Aware that her life is on the line, she reluctantly agrees to return to New Orleans with Luca.

With cryptic clues and clandestine allies, will Luca and Samantha destroy the dangerous amulet before others acquire it, setting forth a chain of catastrophic consequences? And will Luca give into his erotic desire for the witch who magically captures heart?

SUPERNATURAL SUSPENSE, ACTION & LOTS OF STEAM

This is an action packed paranormal love story, whether the action is with Vampires, Werewolves, Witches and Mortals or the hot n very heavy kind.... it's relentless with passion, mystery and magic. This follows on from book 1 and, as newly turned witch Samantha tries to come to terms with her new abilities and what had happened to her, the gorgeous Australia Vampire Luca is there ready to help her and he's already just escaped a near deadly enslavement of his own so he knows how she feels.

However, just when things seemed to be hotting up between the unlikely pair they were brought crashing down to Earth by a fire, a mysterious supernatural and a threat to find a very powerful but missing Amulet. And then the clues, intrigue, suspense, twists, action and revelations keep coming and so too does Luca and Samantha in their many, and sexy, love scenes. A mixed bag of sexy supernatural secondary characters, some are loveable, some are dark and dangerous and some are mysterious and I'm sure there's a book just waiting to be written with their names on it. We get to hear how Kade and Sydney are doing too.

Told from various POV's but mainly from Samantha and Luca's and Ryan West's ability to change accents, nationalities and emotions with his narration, together with Kym Grosso's worldbuilding, is what made this a very worthy 4 star listen.

Worth a credit? An enjoyable and entertaining paranormal love story that had it all.... so YES creditworthy and the Epilogue has me eagerly waiting for Werewolf Tristan's transformation from a rich and carefree playboy to a mated pampered pooch.

It's Magic and so Much More!

Book two in the Immortals of New Orleans is simply magical. It is full of suspense, action, and steamy sex!

With a fast placed plot, Samantha is on the run, and must find a mystical amulet to be free of a vampire who is manipulating, and scaring her into finding amulet for himself. In need of protection, sexy vampire, Luca retrieves Samantha from her hiding, and brings her back to New Orleans so they can search for the amulet together. On a race against time, they must find the amulet before another witch locates it, and uses against the vampires.

Things start getting really steamy between Samantha, and Luca as he teaches her about domination, and what it means to submit to your darkest desires. For steamy domination play, these sex scenes were tastefully done, and had me blushing.

Truly Magical story!!

Annother compelling story and main character.

Where does Luca's Magic Embrace: Immortals of New Orleans, Book 2 rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

It is right up. There I have been very pleased with the books I have listened to. Although Kym Grosso was a new author to me the story line and type of character was not. Great group of characters in this series and I love revisiting characters from other books in the series.

What other book might you compare Luca's Magic Embrace: Immortals of New Orleans, Book 2 to and why?

People who read Mandy Roth Immortal Ops series will feel a certain similarity. Ms Roths characters are more outrageous and the camaraderie is hilarious. Still the PRN and groups of protectors is in a similar vein.

Which character – as performed by Ryan West – was your favorite?

Luca. I fell for him in book one.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes, unfortunately it was too long but I did listen in two days. I love the alarm so it auto turns off in a period of time. That way it doesn't just keep going if I fall asleep.

Any additional comments?

I bought the boxed set, then after listening to the first book, ended up buying them individually to get the audio and sync option--I liked it that much.

Just okay. Not the best story. Narration was Meh..

Well this is my second book in the series. I was not a huge fan of the first book, but wanted to give the second one a try to see if I would like it any better. Well not so much. It wasn't any worse. I don't like the forced romance. This was like that as well as in the first book.
There is quite a bit of sex in the story so it is not rated G by no means at all.

The story line and plot were decent. I like the characters well enough but sometimes the main characters said some really cheesy things. Which annoys me.

As for the narrator. Meh. He is okay, but I think he reads with too much angst in his voice. The women sound like women which is good. Everyone gets their own distinct voice. Its just the way he reads the story so angsty.

I have tried these first two books and was so glad when they ended so I have no desire to move forward with this series.

I was a decent story. Didn't make me want more.

It was ok. Makes me wonder if the story line gets better in subsequent books. Just ok, I think I'll stop though.

Sizzling!!!

Would you consider the audio edition of Luca's Magic Embrace: Immortals of New Orleans, Book 2 to be better than the print version?

Definitely better than the book version because the Ryan West's narration brings the book to life. The intense voice awakens the storyline three times over!!

What does Ryan West bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

When you have a nice deep voice such as Ryan's it makes the experience of all the male leads simply real!!

I love the book, love the series and the narrator does and excellent job. I read another review that was negative but i did not find it to have no merit, very good listen.
