Publisher's summary

He's not the guy you date. He's the one night stand.

You'd think the man who sends hot looks my way, who called me succulent, would want to strip me to my skin and spread me out on his bed like every other woman in Chicago.

Except he passed on my offer….
Just like I once passed on his.
He's wary, like I am.
He's broken, like I am.
And everyone knows two broken parts can't ever make a whole.
So I try to distract myself with dating.
Tahoe and I are strictly friends. He doesn't think my new beau is good enough - he doesn't think any man is, especially himself.
The more time Tahoe and I spend together, the more confused I feel.
I'm trying to open up to love.
But I'm quickly realizing that the only man I want is the stubborn, cocky, unattainable playboy Tahoe Roth.
The one my mother warned me about.
The one my body craves.
The only one who will surely break my heart.

COOKIE-CUTTER-ROMANCE

I was very disappointed in Ladies Man: Tahoe's Story. For 6.5 hours Tahoe and Gina dance around each other. They start out as acquaintances in Manwhore and Manwhore +1 and in Ladies Man they build a friendship to falling in love. It takes about a 1.5 years for the relationship to bloom into falling in love. The last 1.5 hrs is Tahoe and Gina admitting they love each other and having sex.

Manwhore and Manwhore +1 had an element of mystery, suspense, and fun. Very little of these elements are in Ladies Man. I almost returned it twice but decided to hear it out. During Gina and Tahoe dancing around each other Gina did date another man and Tahoe kept up his string of one night stands. Gina asked Tahoe if he's ever been in love and he tells her he worshiped Lisa. So any romance guru can guess with a couple of scenarios what happened with Tahoe and Lisa. THE END

I don't like it when people give a bad rating to a book just because it wasn't their cup-of-tea. It gives an unfair rating to people who do like that type of book. It's not that Ladies Man isn't my cup-of-tea it's that I expected a WHOLE LOT MORE. I loved Manwhore and Manwhore +1 and just don't want anyone to expect the same type of book with Ladies Man. I've had this book pre-ordered for weeks and once again...AM REALLY DISAPPOINTED with the cookie-cutter-romance.

So I believe I gave a fair rating: 3 stars for the cookie-cutter-romance
5 stars for the astounding Grace Grant
4 stars overall

Whether or not it's worth a credit will have to be your opinion. I'm returning my copy.

Not her best, but likable -4 stars is generous

Perhaps the bar was set high after Manwhore ..... but Tahoe's story was a little too drawn out for me. The story takes place right after the Saint's leave for their honeymoon and over the course of the following year ...... it takes FOREVER for Tahoe and Regina to finally get together. I don't know if I found it believable .... it certainly did not reflect the angst I should have felt at certain points in the book. I was generous with my rating because I have hopes for the next installment which I hope is Tahoe's sister interning with the other womanizing man whore. I have high hopes the next one will be the five stars I am used to giving her. Credit worthy? If you have nothing better to read, yes, otherwise wait for a sale. I did use a credit FYI.

THEIR DANCE WAS BRUTAL... & YES, BEAUTIFUL TOO

This is the story about two friends.... two friends whose hearts have been broken, two friends who wear 'happy' masks to hide their damaged true selves, two friends who don't want to want the other and yet they do and, after a year of intense longing, near misses and desperate denials, they're both finally ready to drop their masks.... and take that leap.

Told from Gina's POV as she covertly watches the handsome, sexy, fun-loving Playboy Tahoe Roth, who unashamedly goes from woman to woman or women to women, and she fantasizes, longs for and dreams that it was her lips, her body and just her that would be enough for him. She tries to move passed her attraction by dating Trent but, after months of trying, Gina reluctantly has to come to terms with the fact that Trent's not the man her heart wants and no amount of time will change that fact. Gina's seen the same unspoken longing, the ache and the passion reflected back from Tahoe's eyes too so dare she take the chance.... could he overcome his past heartbreak.... can she remain is the 'just friends' zone.... or, is love worth risking it all for?

This bitter-sweet, friends to lovers, emotion driven love story slowly drifts through a years worth of highs and lows as Gina and Tahoe dance around the flames of attraction, passion and obsession that's sensually sizzling and provocatively brewing between them. And I too became lost, possessed and obsessed with Tahoe, his unbreakable unwavering impenetrable mask and just how Gina was going to break through it if she was ever brave enough to take the chance of claiming his heart. There's heightened emotions, passion, romantic scenes filled with beautiful heartfelt moving words and, in the end sex and love.... however, I wish it had been longer because I really wasn't ready to let them go... even an Epilogue would have quelled my greed. But I guess I'll just have to wait for Callan's story in 2017 and hope, as this book did, that it will include all the latest news from the much loved couples that came before (ah humm!)... preceded it.

Worth a credit? Great story, loveable characters - yes even the damaged Ladies Man, well written and all brought to life by a talented narrator.... so YES creditworthy.

I want a T-Rex!

Honestly I have waited for this story since I first read Manwhore. I knew Tahoe and Gina (Regina) would be explosive and I was not disappointed. I truly loved the buildup, and the delivery!!
There is more to Tahoe than he tries to portray. He is kind, loyal, loving, protective, and just an all around amazing man. I love how true of a friend he is for her. That he would stop ANYTHING when she comes a calling. I love that he is such a family man, and the relationship he has with the few people in his intimate circle. I just love me some T-REX.
Gina, Gina, Regina. This woman right here is so very relatable. She is a woman who is willing to work hard to get her dreams working. No job is too good for her. She is wiling to do what she has to do to better herself. She knows her flaws and will admit to it. She learns what her worth is throughout this story and never stops trying to find the perfect ONE. She knows who she wants and when he isn't able to give it to her she takes what she can and tries to move on. I love that she has T in her life to ensure she doesn't get hurt, and I love how he reacts when he thinks she is!
As you can tell I love everything about this story and can't wait to listen to it now that I've read it!
This is an epically quick read and I can honestly say that I need more of this ladies man!
Seriously can't wait to see his reaction to his sister and his best friend!!!!!! Hahahahahhaah now that's going to be a wicked story.... Can't wait!

why is it called Tahoes story?

from Tahoes POV there is nothing, all story is about insecure girl who dont want to show herself without make up. i am very dissapointed in these Manwhorse series. as much as I loved Remy and Real series, this is bad, nothing to listen again.

LOWERED EXPECTATIONS

I am losing some of my faith in this series. Based on my perception of Tahoe and Gina in the previous books, I had high, HIGH expectations of this book. I COULD NOT WAIT--so, disappointed is a little bit of an understatement in terms of how I felt about this. Grace Grant, whom I usually find is a great narrator, fell very flat as Tahoe--the poor southern drawl, and just, ugh, her narration didn't improve the story for me. Also, the interplay between Tahoe and Gina was very lukewarm when they both seemed to have these fiery personalities, and maybe that was the goal since neither wanted to face what has always been between them. The dynamic could've been different/better in my opinion.

This anti-climatic storyline will not deter me from future books from Evans, but, something needs to change. Manwhore has been on decline for me, and to be honest, Remy, and the spinoffs from Remy remain my favorites from this author.

Love Tahoe, but this story was eh...

Tahoe's story is one I could totally get in bed with (bad pun intended), but this book seemed to drag out forever. There was not too much going on other than the back and forth with the relationship, which wasn't as enticing as I would've liked. I liked Tahoe and really wanted to love this book, but it just fell flat for me. Grace Grant was amazing and I think she was what kept me going on the book. I like so many other Katy Evans books, so I'm hoping this one was just a flat blip on the radar. I made it through but would save my credit unless you are really into a slow story with a super hot guy.

So much yes

If you have followed the Manwhore series and loved them, you will love this one. Tahoe is a much more complex character than you first think he is and you just can't help but feel sad for Regina. She is so responsible and emotionally mature, the only possibility is Tahoe shaking up her life a little.

Grace grant is amazing as always and I enjoyed her as Regina.
