Publisher's summary

From the number-one internationally best-selling author of The Demonologist, called "smart, thrilling, utterly unnerving" by Gone Girl author Gillian Flynn, comes a spine-tingling supernatural thriller about a survivor of a near-death experience haunted by his beautiful, vindictive twin sister.

He'll have to go to hell and back...

Danny Orchard wrote a best-selling memoir about his near-death experience in a fire that claimed the life of his twin sister, Ashleigh, but despite the resulting fame and fortune he's never been able to enjoy his second chance at life. Ash won't let him.

In life Danny's charming and magnetic twin had been a budding psychopath who privately terrorized her family--and death hasn't changed her wicked ways. Ash has haunted Danny for 20 years and now, just when he's met the love of his life and has a chance at real happiness, she wants more than ever to punish him for being alive, so she sets her sights on Danny's new wife and stepson.

Danny knows what Ash really wants is him, and he's prepared to sacrifice himself in order to save the ones he loves. The question is: Will he make it back this time?

Twisty and turny

The story definitely kept me on the edge of my seat. My favorite part of this audio book was the narrator. He did an incredible job reading the story. You could hear the fear in his voice. Awesome!!!

Wonderful story this is the first book I've listened to from Andrew Pyper and I can't wait to start the next one. Chilling and kept me on the edge of my seat throughout the book.

Kept me listening until the end

Excellent story. Narrator is suitable but takes a little time to warm up to. Very worth the listen.

I guess I went into this book expecting the Demonologist, but it was a much slower and it was a struggle to finish it.

Not as good as The Only Child

A bit whiny compared to The Only Child which I really, really enjoyed. The Oracle was a great novel as well. But I couldn't finish this one. The protagonist's life
was just too depressing to be believable.

Waiting for a scare...

Boring, mostly it's main character own thoughts and memories. Rated G (Disney) Zero scare factor!!! The narrator was OK. Just disappointed with the story! I had hoped for this one because I thought "Gone Girl" was a good story. Reviews from a third grader. I wonder.
